Alexandra is an Associate Professor at the Department of Education at the University of Agder. She holds a Master’s degree in Learning and Educational Technology and a Ph.D. in Information Systems. Her research is focused on the context of higher education, and some of the main research interests include computer-supported collaborative learning (CSCL), instructional design, student engagement, self-regulated learning, and alternative assessment formats.

After graduating in Media Studies with a focus on documentary film at the University of Siegen, Sascha worked in Luxembourg’s media sector, becoming Head of Operations at a multilingual TV channel. Now managing the MEDIACentre at the University of Luxembourg, he oversees diverse audiovisual projects and co-teach media-related courses. Active in projects tackling disinformation, Sascha fosters collaboration between researchers and practitioners. His passion lies in linking media practice with academic research to promote transdisciplinary dialogue and innovation.

He is a member of the Society for the History of the Philosophy of Technology at Maastricht University.

Thiago is Lead Data Scientist at the Luxembourg Institute of Socio-Economic Research (LISER). He leads AI/ML initiatives in education and skills, including AIDCO—an AI-driven curriculum and labour-market skills graph—and network-based analyses of Brazil’s ENEM exams, and he coordinates a forthcoming fNIRS study. His research combines knowledge graphs, LLMs, and psychometrics to improve assessment and learning analytics. He collaborates with the University of Luxembourg and international partners on AI governance and applied machine learning, and designs training and tooling to accelerate the research pipeline.

Ioana Visescu

Ioana holds a PhD in Computer Science, where her research focused on educational approaches to user-centred design. She is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Luxembourg’s Institute for Digital Ethics (ULIDE), focusing on digital ethics, the responsible implementation of AI, and the societal implications of emerging technologies. At the core of her work lies a commitment to exploring how socio-technical and human-centric design approaches can be leveraged for social good, while critically examining the hidden costs of technological innovation. She is actively involved in educational and policy-oriented initiatives focused on developing ethical frameworks and legislation for safe and responsible AI.

Elli Danae Vartziotis

Her dissertation is titled “STS Perspectives on the Integration of AI into the Pursuit of Environmental Sustainability.” She holds a B.Sc. in Chemical and Process Engineering from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), an M.Sc. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and a Master’s in Science, Technology, and Society (STS) from NKUA.”

Georgia Fermeli

Georgia is special teaching staff at the University of Athens. She has expertise in the History and Didactics of Environmental Sciences, as well as in the development of curricula and supporting educational and training materials, including the design and creation of digital learning objects. For several years, she served as a Senior Consultant in Environmental Sciences and Sustainability at the Institute of Educational Policy of the Greek Ministry of Education. In recognition of her scientific contribution to the field of Geosciences, she has been honoured by the Academy of Athens.

Marianthi Grizioti

Marianthi is an Assistant Professor at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) in the department of Educational Studies, and a member of Educational Technology Lab – NKUA. Her research focuses on educational transformation through digital (and emerging) technologies, including AI, Learning Analytics, 3D printing, digital games and AR applications. She has been actively involved in several research programs (Horizon, Erasmus KA2), teacher training initiatives and development of open educational resources for the Greek Ministry of Education.

Carsten Ullrich

Carsten is a legal researcher at the University of Luxembourg’s Institute for Digital Ethics (ULIDE) specializing in the regulation of digital technologies. His work focuses on regulatory governance, risk management, and the use of safety-by-design approaches, duty of care and technical standards in digital applications, such as content moderation by online platforms or the use of artificial intelligence. Prior to his academic role, Carsten gained extensive experience in regulatory compliance roles with leading online platforms.
